It all started with a quest to make our ideal chocolate cupcake. We started with 3 recipes and picked the best one; we then began changing ingredients and amounts one at a time, always making the best batch from the previous round as a 'control' against which to test the new ones, until we arrived at our perfect chocolate cupcake. This involved numerous iterations, incremental changes, and lots of blind taste tests among our friends.

After cupcakes, we turned to making our ideal chocolates. We are obsessed with (dark) chocolate and chocolates that are wholesome, pure, and overwhelmingly satisfying. These are chocolates that are not too sweet, that capture the essence of their ingredients.

All of our products are made by hand (by Rachel), and rigorously taste-tested by us and our friends. We use only the highest quality ingredients, including locally produced ingredients whenever possible, and we make everything to order in small batches. For a look at our current product offerings, please see our menu. Requests for chocolates not on the menu can be handled after some experimentation; suggestions are always welcome.
